Who processes the data

What data we process and why
- IP address and technical connection data (browser type, page requested), processed automatically by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, to run the site and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Anonymous traffic measurement through Cloudflare Web Analytics: how many visits a page gets, where visitors come from (for example, Google), device type. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Contact form data: name, organisation, email, country, type of collaboration, message and, if you add them, phone, indicative amount and timing. We use it only to reply to you. Legal basis: legitimate interest; if the conversation leads to an agreement, performance of that contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Data you send us yourself by email, phone or WhatsApp. We use it only for your request.
- Donor data shown on our bank statement (name, account, amount, payment reference). We use it for accounting records and, if you ask, to confirm your donation. Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
Who we share data with
- Cloudflare, Inc., website hosting and anonymous traffic measurement.
- Resend, Inc., the email service the form uses to send us your message.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., if you write to us through the WhatsApp button: messages pass through WhatsApp’s infrastructure.
- Google, only if you press "Show the map" on the contact page. The map loads only then, and at that point Google may receive your IP address.
- The foundation’s bank and public authorities, where the law requires.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases the safeguards set out in the GDPR apply, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies, so it does not ask for consent through a banner. Your browser may store two preferences you choose: the site language and the currency selected on the Donate page. They never leave your device and you can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
The Facebook and X links in the footer are plain links. We do not load content from these networks on the site.
How long we keep data
- Form and email messages: no longer than 12 months after the conversation ends.
- Accounting records and contracts: as long as accounting and tax law requires.
- Hosting provider technical logs: under Cloudflare’s policy, usually for a short period.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email us at contact@proprietenia.ro. We will reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro, or to the authority in your own EU country.
Changes
If we change how we process data, we will update this page and the date above.
