Our story
Four chapters: the beginning, the work in our archive, the period of reduced activity and what we are preparing now.
Since 2001, Pro Prietenia Arad Foundation has worked with people in Arad who need support: families facing hardship, children and young people, people trying to rebuild their lives after a sentence. We did this through volunteering, prevention campaigns and projects run with the city’s public institutions.
We have worked with volunteers, professionals, public institutions in Arad and partners in Romania and abroad. Our archive holds projects, meetings and campaigns, most of them from 2002 to 2011.
During the pandemic, the foundation’s activity fell sharply. It is part of our history and we say so openly, alongside the work that came before.
We are now preparing a new chapter. We want to restart, step by step, the initiatives we can staff, fund and sustain, and to be clear about what we are planning, what funding we need and how we will track results.

Now
Preparing to restart
We are restarting gradually, and only with initiatives we can keep going beyond the first year. We publish what we are preparing and how contributions will be used.
