Community support and inclusion
One of the foundation’s first areas of work: material help and support for people going through a hard time.
What we did
We distributed goods from donors in Romania and Germany to families, social care institutions, kindergartens and churches.
We worked with people with disabilities, older people and low-income families, usually together with public institutions in Arad.
From the archive
- The foundation’s records list material support for more than 450 families and equipment for 75 people with disabilities.
- 2007: "Close to Me", support for 17 children at the Ghiocelul rehabilitation centre.
- 2010: "Arad People for Arad People", 180 families supported over 6 campaign days.
- 2011: "Volunteers for Grandparents", young volunteers helping older people.

- Current status
- Proposed for a pilot, if resources allow.
- What could restart
- A community-support initiative, defined after assessing needs in Arad and only with partners who can keep it going.
- What we do not do now
- We are not distributing aid at present and have no active goods bank.
